Musician, producer, choir director and audio software developer, based in Dundee.
I trained as a Tonmeister at the University of Surrey and have been making records professionally since 1985, first as an engineer at Music Works and then as chief engineer at Orinoco Studios in London, working on records by Enya, the Pet Shop Boys, the Sugarcubes and Ian McCulloch.
Since the 1990s I've worked with Saint Etienne as engineer, arranger, producer and live keyboard player, including orchestrating their This Is Tomorrow concert at the Royal Festival Hall. I co-produced The Syn's Syndestructible, produced Chris Squire's Swiss Choir, and co-wrote material that found its way onto Yes's Fly from Here and Heaven & Earth.
These days I'm in Dundee, where I run The New Dundee Choir That Doesn't Have A Name Yet, work as a music director for theatre, and write music software.
